The model

pump.fun charges a creator fee on every trade of a coin and pays it to the coin's on-chain creator. tipped sets that creator to a wallet reserved for a TikTok handle you choose. That is the whole trick: the fee is native to pump.fun, the recipient is the creator, and nothing is routed through us.

Launching

  1. 1. You enter a TikTok @handle, a name, ticker, image and optional first buy.
  2. 2. The server reserves a Solana wallet for that handle (or reuses the one it already has), pins the metadata, and builds a pump.fun create_v2 transaction with creator = that wallet.
  3. 3. You sign in your wallet. You pay pump.fun's network fees and any first buy. The coin appears on the board the moment the transaction confirms.

The creator is written into the instruction data at create time and the program stores it on the bonding curve. It cannot be changed afterwards.

Where the fees go

pump.fun accrues creator fees into a program-owned vault keyed by the creator address. Because the creator is the handle's wallet, 100% of the creator fee for every coin tipping that handle lands in the same vault. Before graduation the fee is collected by the pump program; after graduation the pump-amm program pays into its coin-creator vault. Both are read together on the profile page.

tipped takes no share of creator fees. The launcher pays pump.fun's standard fees; those are pump.fun's, not ours.

Getting paid: TikTok Gifts

Creators never log in and never hold a wallet. Fees reach them as TikTok Video Gifts, so the money arrives in the same TikTok balance their LIVE gifts do. The path is:

  1. 1. Sweep. Every hour a cron collects each handle's vault and moves the SOL to the treasury in one transaction (fee wallet + treasury co-sign; the treasury pays the network fee). The SOL/USD rate at that moment is frozen on a receipt and the dollar value is credited to the handle. Vaults under 0.001 SOL are left to grow.
  2. 2. Queue. When a handle's balance clears $1.00, the whole balance becomes one queued gift: USD ÷ $0.0106 per Coin, floored to whole Coins.
  3. 3. Send. TikTok has no API for gifting, so tipped sends the Video Gift by hand from its own TikTok account on one of the creator's videos, then marks the gift sent with the video link. That link prints on the receipt.
  4. 4. Cash out. The Coins land as Diamonds. The creator withdraws them to PayPal or a bank from TikTok's balance screen, exactly like LIVE gifts.

TikTok pays creators $0.005 per Diamond while a Coin costs $0.0106, so roughly half of every gift stays with TikTok. That is TikTok's cut, not ours, and it is shown on every receipt, profile and queue entry rather than folded into a “net” figure. tipped takes nothing from creator fees.

Eligibility is TikTok's: Personal account, 18+, 10,000+ followers, in a supported region, with Video Gifts turned on in Creator Tools. If TikTok will not accept a gift, it is marked held with the reason, the USD stays in the creator's balance, and it is re-queued the day they turn Video Gifts on. Handles are matched case-insensitively; if a creator renames their TikTok account, the fees stay with the handle the coins were launched to.

Custody and keys

Reserved fee wallets are created and signed through Privy's server wallets. Their private keys never touch our servers or database; we store only the wallet address and a Privy wallet id mapped to the handle. The only transaction they ever sign is the hourly sweep to the treasury. The treasury is the float that buys TikTok Coins; the ledger keeps every handle's USD balance separate.

FAQ

Does the creator need to do anything before I launch?
No. The wallet is reserved automatically and fees accrue from the first trade. To actually receive a gift they need Video Gifts turned on in TikTok; until then the balance is held for them.
Can I launch a coin for a handle that already has coins?
Yes. All coins tipping the same handle pay into the same wallet.
What if I typo the handle?
The creator is permanent on-chain. Check the live preview; the handle you see there is the one that gets paid.
Is this affiliated with TikTok or pump.fun?
No. TikTok is only the rail the gifts travel on; pump.fun is the launchpad and market.
